Both were mostly white with some gray and black patches, handcarded together, spun to about fingering weight. Finished scarf weighs 2.5 ounces, used approximately 450 yards or less. gauge: not too important. I got around 6.5 stitches to the inch over the pattern stitch before blocking. Pattern: Modified Razor Shell from Spin-off's angora issue (winter 1994) (multiple of 16 plus 1) row 1: Knit row 2: Purl row 3: K1, * yo, k6, sl 1, k2tog, psso, k6, yo, k1* Repeat between *s. On size 9 needles, I cast on 65 stitches, then started the pattern with row 2. Knit to desired length, or until you run out of yarn. Also works as a moebius if you cast on invisibly and graft the beginning to the end with a twist (see EZ's Knitting Around). For version 2 (currently on the needles), I cast on 71 stitches and kept the first three and last three in garter stitch, just so the yarnovers wouldn't be too close to the edge. (I think I like the first version better.) Slightly wider, it would make a lovely wrap. Enjoy!
